Our personal tax department handles tax planning and compliance on behalf of our non-corporate clients. Our experienced team is responsible for the identification of tax planning and saving opportunities which can arise from changes in legislation or changes in a client’s circumstances. To help with this we like to be made aware of any changes in circumstances as they occur, as this allows us to react quickly to the changes and ensure you enjoy the maximum benefit from any opportunities we identify. This can be done through correspondence but we prefer to meet with our clients at regular intervals to review the opportunities which exist for them – or which may be created – and to highlight any situations which should be avoided.

The tax compliance work we perform on behalf of our clients includes the preparation or review of Tax Returns, checking assessments and “Taxpayer’s Statements”, ensuring PAYE codings are correct, preparing Personal Tax computations, and reaching agreement with the Inland Revenue following enquiries. This ensures that the entire burden of self assessment compliance is removed from our clients except for approving and signing the returns.
At Cansdales we are able to combine our tax advice with advice from our in-office Independent Financial Adviser, Cansdales Ltd, allowing us to go beyond the usual tax advisory role to assist in the creation and management of wealth for our clients.
